Monica Cardwell

is an innovative, experienced, and patient swim instructor. 

She has been teaching for over 20 years.  Monica is certified by the American Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor and as an instructor in CPR, AED and First Aid.  Monica has also been certified by the Red Cross as a lifeguard, head lifeguard, lifeguard instructor and waterfront lifeguard.  Monica is currently certified by the Aquatic Exercise Association as an Aquatic Personal Trainer and Aquatic Fitness Professional. The Worldwide Bodywork Association certifies Monica as an Aquatic Bodywork Practitioner in WATSU® and Waterdance.  Monica holds a Master's Degree in Education.

In addition, Monica is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Florida (MA51835) and as such brings a deeper understanding of anatomy and human movement to her work in the water. 

Monica was the Aquatics Supervisor at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples Beach Resort in Florida for over 10 years where she taught thousands of lessons to clients from all over the world. Some make repeated return visits to Naples to continue to learn with her. She is now well established in private practice.  

At the urging of her clients, Monica is currently working on a teaching curriculum and book to share her methods with other aquatic professionals and students.
